"poems of the sea"

"poems of the sea"

... to enlarge the photos, just click on them!
... was a special project which i had started while i was traveling western australia. i found my inspiration in the nature - the sheer beauty of the sea, the wide open sky above me and the salty air inside my body.
all of this made me design them...

  1. Kris, very unusual!
May I ask you a question?
    Why metal wires?
What kind of metal did you use?

  2. hello, oleg, nice of you leaving a comment, or better some questions...

    why metal wire?

because i love contrast. and what could be a stronger contrast than an organically grown shell from the sea, with the rough surface, the broken edges, where obviously the time has left marks on, combined with the smooth polished surface of a thick wire following and describing the shape of the inside, where once life existed.

    what kind of metal?
    that's the artist's secret! ;)
