  3. First thing I thought of was Mondrian - not because of his geometric shapes & limited colours - but more because his work was the opposite of your glorious explosion of colours and shapes. I think he came to mind because his work was brilliant but has always seemed rigid to me, whereas these paintings shout, "LIFE!"

  6. Honestly, I thought of my sisters in SF and upstate NY.

Something about the abstraction and the separation of forms combined with the vaguely human jawline (on the right facing the painting) makes me think that.

Plus, they're the better artists and would be able to be able to explain it to me probably had something to do with it...

    Really interesting work, very lovely

  8. The bright colors are wonderful. This painting draws me in because it radiates energy, vibrancy, expansiveness, and fun. Red is my favorite color and it pops against the blues and greens. Love your boldness, Kris.
What did you feel you wanted to express when you were working on it?

  9. Susan sees a landscape/dreamscape, as if you have been sitting on a big white cloud looking down.

I feel the motion in the energy as it circumnavigates the ground; and can
hear the voice of the artist whispering.

As a metalsmith, I can't help but see the promise in using this piece as a
platform for your jewelry. So many interesting details that could make a
    transformation into that realm.

    Congrats, my friend...

And yes, as Chant says above, 'you are always flying outside the square'
