... our dog PHELIX KNOPPH looooooooooves the library! but he also behaves very well - quiet and sweet he just sits on my arm ... sniffs the people i pass and is very interested in the books scents. ;)
i think it is time to loosen the "no dogs allowed" regulations. i am originally from Germany, and i loved it so much, when i went back for a summer visit and we could take PHELIX KNOPPH everywhere, without having to call a restaurant or cafe if it would be OK to bring him in the inside or outside seating area.
IN EUROPE DOGS ARE ALLOWED NEARLY EVERYWHERE, WHERE CHILDREN OR ADULTS ARE ALLOWED. MAYBE NOT IN THE SUPERMARKET...
it would be wonderful to see more people understand that dogs are a part of the family, and equally loved as a child. of course, i only can speak for me, but i believe that most dog-owners feel the same way!
i would love to see signs with "DOGS ARE WELCOME!" written on them, because my dog is part of my family, as much as my husband, my parents, and my friends! I would love to enjoy sharing my life with him as much as possible - at the beach as well as in a cafe or restaurant.
... before i forget it, also HOTELS could be more pet-friendly. i mean really pet-friendly! often we had to pay for our tiny chihuahua $75, which is not the cleaning fee, by the way! if he really would pee somewhere, that would go extra. for my taste, this is NOT PET-FRIENDLY! it would be also great if one could use points to pay for ones dog, if there has to be a fee at all.
